Ironmarch Command
Ironmarch Command strips real-time strategy down to what fits a phone screen without feeling dumbed-down. You manage a handful of units across compact maps, and every match is over in ten to fifteen minutes. The streamlined controls — tap to select, hold to issue orders — make it surprisingly comfortable on touch.
The depth hides in the economy. You're constantly choosing between expanding fast or turtling up, and the AI punishes greedy play in a way that feels fair. There's a skirmish mode against bots and a set of hand-designed scenarios, each with a little tactical puzzle to solve.
It won't replace a proper desktop strategy game, but it scratches the itch during a lunch break better than most. We'd love more maps, but what's here is polished and genuinely challenging.
What we liked
- Matches short enough for a break
- Smart economy decisions every round
- Clean touch controls for RTS
